Breast Reduction Scottsdale & Phoenix, AZ
Breast Reduction Surgery
by Dr. Marc Malek
Our breast reduction in Scottsdale enables patients to reduce the discomfort and structural problems associated with large breasts. Patients want to have this procedure to improve their daily life and enjoy regular activities without interruption. Breast reduction involves removing excess skin and fat tissue. The result leaves a re-sculpted and balanced figure.
If patients do not want a breast lift, our board-certified Scottsdale plastic surgeon, Dr. Marc Malek, can perform a “scarless” reduction. Excess fat is trimmed, but no reshaping, tightening, or lifting is performed. Patients can still enjoy an improved cosmetic appearance leaving no scars behind.
After the additional skin and fat tissue have been removed, patients will see an improvement in balance and proportion. The discomfort is eliminated and movement is more agile. Before undergoing breast reduction, a consultation is required to evaluate your candidacy for treatment. Your medical history, goals, and body will be examined to determine how this procedure can help you.
Dr. Malek’s breast reduction treatments in Scottsdale can deliver the results you have always looked for. Call our office today to schedule a consultation for your breast reduction in Phoenix and learn whether this procedure is right for you.
Breast Reduction with Dr. Malek
What should I Expect from a breast reduction surgery?
Breast reduction surgery is a custom procedure, with several possible surgical approaches. The traditional method, including a breast lift and reshaping, along with nipple reshaping and relocating, takes several hours to complete. During a traditional breast reduction surgery, Dr. Malek will create three incisions to remove excess tissue and reshape the breast for a youthful look. This type of breast reduction can take from two to five hours to complete.
What is “scarless” breast reduction surgery?
During a “scarless” breast reduction in Scottsdale, Dr. Malek will create two small incisions and use a small cannula or tube to remove excess tissue, close the incisions, and bandage the breasts. This surgery takes less time to complete, about one to two hours. This advanced technique leaves minimal scarring when surgically reducing breast size.
Both traditional and scarless breast reduction surgeries require anesthesia. However, the recovery from “scarless” breast reduction requires less time.
